The Sign of Probability

The Sign of Probability - Jesus Fulfilled Prophecy

Sermon on How Jesus Fulfilled Prophecy

Are you an analytical thinker? Then this sermon will challenge your thinking about who Jesus really was and is. Take a listen and see if believing in Jesus is logical or just a collection of tall tales. I believe you will increase your faith as you listen to how Jesus fulfilled prophecy from the Old Testament.

There are many reasons to come to believe in the Lord, and the gospel of John gives many of these reasons. The signs and wonders Jesus performed are only a few of the proofs. In John chapter 19, a number of the prophesies from the Old Testament are shown to have been fulfilled in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. This sermon will point out just a few of those fulfilled prophesies and, for those who are mathematicians, point out the possibilities of these prophesies being fulfilled in one person.

Pastor Dwight <><

In our last sermon Staying Calm in Chaos, we studied John 18. In that chapter, Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus’ disciples, betrays Jesus by turning him over to the Jewish priests. Then, after interrogating him, the priests send Jesus for judgment and execution by Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea at the time. Though Pilate found no fault in Jesus, he condemns him to death to appease the Jewish crowd.

In John 19, the narrative continues as Roman soldiers humiliate, torture, and then crucify Jesus. Listen as Pastor Dwight explains how the events around Jesus’ death fulfill Old Testament prophecy about the messiah.
